We are seeking to boost our volunteer pool numbers as we are struggling some weeks to fill the roster which means profits lost for the Tuckshop.
Why are profits important? Our tuckshop profits allow us to not only employ our amazing convenor but also enables us to invest back into the school.
Did you know that the P&C purchase and service all the school airconditioning? This is a huge expense and profits made by the Tuckshop help us to be able to afford to keep our kids cool and comfortable.
Profits are also used to keep the Tuckshop kitted put with necessary equipment. In the past 12 months alone we have been able to replace a broken pie warmer and a very old and slow laptop. We have also purchased a catering quality food processor and a sandwich press to allow us to keep up with the high demand of tuckshop orders and making the preparation of lunches and snacks even easier!
Did you know that a Tuckshop shift finishes at 1130am?And includes tea/coffee? And a free lunch? Not only that, you get to enjoy a fun and energetic couple of hours with other parents that you may not otherwise have the opportunity to meet.
Full training is supplied so there is no excuse for "never having done tuckshop before"...you would be surprised how many volunteers actually do not enjoy cooking at home but LOVE working a tuckshop shift.
